14- March 29, 1780 - Siege of Charleston - British victory

15- Sept. 28, 1781 - Siege of Yorktown - American victory

Explanation:

1- The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first battles of the War of Independence, which took place on April 19, 1775 in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, ending with a patriotic victory.

2- The Battle of Bunker Hill took place in the War of Independence. The result was a Pyrrhic victory for the British, who suffered more than a thousand casualties.

3- The Battle of Quebec took place on December 31, 1775, between the forces of the Continental Army and those of the British defending the city of Quebec, in the early stages of the War of Independence. The battle culminated in the first major defeat of the war for the Americans, accompanied by heavy losses.

4- The Battle of Long Island took place on August 27, 1776 in current Prospect Park, Brooklyn. By the afternoon the much less numerous American troops were defeated and had to start the retreat under the cover of the artillery posted on Governors Island.

5- The Battle of White Plains took place on October 28, 1776 during the New York campaign in the Revolutionary War. The battle is considered a British victory although they suffered greater losses than the Americans.

6-  The Battle of Trenton took place on December 26, 1776, during the War of Independence after the crossing of the Delaware River by General George Washington to Trenton, New Jersey. General Washington led the Continental Army across the river during the night of December 25-26 to surprise and virtually eliminate the Hessian garrison.

7- The Battle of Brandywine occurred on September 11, 1777 in the vicinity of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and the Brandywine River. The battle was a decisive victory for the British troops, that left Philadelphia unprotected.

8- The first phase of the Battle of Saratoga ended with a British victory, commanded by General Howe.

9- The Battle of Germantown took place on October 4, 1777 in Germantown, Pennsylvania.  In spite of taking the initiative, the Americans failed partly because of the weather conditions, since the dense fog caused the Washington columns to attack each other.  The victory allowed the British to retain Philadelphia, capital of the government of the Thirteen Colonies, in their possession.

10- After the first Battle of Saratoga, British General Burgoyne, harassed incessantly by the rebel militias, was unable to reach New York and could not obtain reinforcements from Clinton because he did not have enough troops to assist him. On October 17 he had to surrender to US commander Horatio Gates and was taken prisoner with his army until peace was signed.

11- The Battle of White Marsh was a battle of the Philadelphia Campaign that took place from December 5 to 8, 1777, ending with an American victory.

12- The Battle of Monmouth was fought in New Jersey on June 28, 1778, and is considered as the turning point in the American Revolution. The Continental Army of George Washington attacked the rear of a British column led by Sir Henry Clinton as it left Monmouth Court House.

13- The Siege of Savannah took place in 1779. A year before, the city of Savannah, Georgia, was taken by the British. The siege consisted of an attempt by French-American troops for the reconquest of the city, which took place between September 16, 1779 and October 18, 1779. On October 9, 1779 a strong assault against the British took place, although it ended in failure. With the failure of the attack, the French-American site failed, and the British held control of the state of Georgia until 1782.

14- The Siege of Charleston was one of the most important battles in the final phase of the American War of Independence, after the British deployed their strategic focus to the southern colonies. As a defeat, it meant the greatest defeat in the number of casualties on the revolutionary side.

15- The Battle of Yorktown took place during the American War of Independence from September 28 to October 19, 1781. It opposed American insurgents and their French allies to the British commanded by Lord Cornwallis. After 21 days of fighting, the British surrendered definitively to the American revolutionaries.

In 150 to 200 words, use evidence to compare the ideas of the abolition of the slave trade and the abolition of slavery.
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

In 1783 in Britain, and most of the world, slavery was an accepted and legal practice.

Sick slave being thrown overboardIn that year, a case was heard before the British courts.  The insurer of the slave ship Zong, which carried African slaves from Africa to the Americas, refused to pay a claim for “lost cargo”.  That lost cargo was more than 100 sick slaves that had been thrown overboard by the ship’s captain, so that their value could be claimed against the insurers.  If the slaves had died of natural causes (their sickness), no claim could be brought against the insurers.  The insurers won their case.  Efforts to bring murder charges against the ship owners failed.  The slaves were not human beings they were goods.

you're welcome and have a good day.

What was the cause of the cuban missile crisis answers?
Fynjy0 [20]
USSR began building missile sites in Cuba in 1962.

There was a coup in Cuba in '59. The new government did not like the United States and took over some American businesses.

The missle sites could hit any city in the USA.

American ships blocked Soviet ships carrying misses into Cuba. The Soviets and Cubans agreed to take away the missiles if America promised not to attack Cuba.

Technically, nobody won. Although, the USSR lost China's support after.
