Why did the United States and USSR engage in proxy wars during the Cold War?

History
2 answers:

Proxy wars were used by the United States and Soviet Union as a way to fight one another without resorting to actual war between the two nations. The United States tried to use proxy wars to contain communism, as they did in Guatemala by sponsoring a coup. The USSR engaged in a proxy war by supporting communist rebels in Nicaragua. Both nations used this strategy to promote their own influence and security.

The United States and the USSR were the lone remaining superpowers left after World War II.

As a result, they viewed proxy wars much like a chess player viewed moving a pawn. If they could get a strategic advantage in Algeria or El Salvador or Cuba, they would take it and lord it over the losing superpower.

What were the political, social and economic impacts of Communism on China?
zzz [600]

Answer:

The Chinese Communist Revolution that culminated in the 1949 founding of the People’s Republic of China fundamentally transformed class relations in China. With data from a nationally representative, longitudinal survey between 2010 and 2016, this study documents the long-term impact of the Communist Revolution on the social stratification order in today’s China, more than 6 decades after the revolution. True to its stated ideological missions, the revolution resulted in promoting the social status of children of the peasant, worker, and revolutionary cadre classes and disadvantaging those who were from privileged classes at the time of the revolution. Although there was a tendency toward “reversion” mitigating the revolution’s effects in the third generation toward the grandparents’ generation in social status, the overall impact of reversion was small. The revolution effects were most pronounced for the birth cohorts immediately following the revolution, attenuating for recently born cohorts.

Which pharaoh is regarded as being one of the most successful female Egyptian leaders, having reigned longer than any other fema
raketka [301]

Both C and D were both male rulers, so we can rule them out.

Next comes Hatshepsut and Cleopatra.

Cleopatra was a co-regent. Even though she was a very strong person of history, Hatshepsut takes the answer.

Hatshepsut ruled for a whopping 20 years, making her considered one of the most successful female Egyptian rulers.

 Hope this helps!

Why were kingdoms in west africa willing to sell slaves to europeans
ahrayia [7]
There has always been slavery inside Africa.
(Sadly slavery is still in Africa today.)

Europeans sold goods that the kingdoms wanted.
The kingdoms kept pushing further and further into the interior.
This created a continuous cycle.

Whites were sold into slavery in Africa also.
(They were captured from barbery pirates in North Africa.)
