96 m

2 m/sec²

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

In a velocity and time graph , the area which is under the plotted line represents the distance traveled

In the given graph , the plotted line from t=0 to t=4 ( for the first 4 secs) is a   triangle with base = 4 and height = 8

Area of this triangle is (1/2) * b * h = (1/2)* 4*8 = 16 m

Step 2 :

The plotted line from t = 4 to t = 14 is a rectangle with length equal to 10 and breadth equal to 8

Hence its area = length * breadth = 10 * 8 = 80 m

Step 3 :

Total  distance traveled is 80 + 16 = 96 m

Step 4 :

In the velocity time graph , slope denotes the acceleration at any given time. Since we want the acceleration for the first 4 secs, we need to find  slope of  line in from t = 0 to t= 4

when t = 0, v =0 and t= 4, v = 8

Slope = 8-0/4-0 =2 m/sec²

Which method used to calculate finance charges is most favorable to the card issuer?
Ivenika [448]
Answer: c. previous balance method

The method used by credit card companies to calculate finance charges in which it is most favorable to the card issuer is the previous balance method. This is computed by charging the interest into the new billing period. This is least favorable to cardholder thus, most favorable to card issuer.

Robin purchased a $160,000 182-day T-bill discounted to yield 1.96%. When he sold it 45 days later, yields had dropped to 1.82%.
Sav [38]

The amount earned by Robin is $224

  • Given the cost of 182-day T-bill = $160,000

If Robin is discounted to yield 1.96%, the amount yield is expressed as:

The yield of 1.96% = 1.96% of 160000

The yield of 1.96% = 0.0196 * 160000

The yield of 1.96% = $3136

Similarly, if the yield is dropped to 1.82%

The yield of 1.82% = 1.82% of 160000

The yield of 1.82% = 0.0182 * 160000

The yield of 1.82% = $2,912

Amount earned by Robin = $3136 - $2192

Amount earned by Robin  = $224

Hence the amount earned by Robin is $224
