Barriers

Further Explanation:

The traffic barriers are also called as crash barriers or Guardrails. They prevent the vehicles from a head-on collision. The traffic barriers are called as Armco Barriers in North America. It keeps vehicles in the roadway and prevents it from colliding with obstacles like boulders, signs, trees, walls. They are installed in medians of the divided highway to stop errant vehicles from entering. If these barriers are stuck from either of the side then they are called median barriers. It protects vulnerable areas like pedestrian zones, schoolyards, fuel tanks. They are designed to reduce injury to the vehicle occupants. They are installed in those areas that are more Hazard prone. But it is more preferable to relocate and modify the Hazard instead of shielding it with the barrier. To ensure the effectiveness of the barrier they undergo stimulated and crash testing before being approved for use. The testing program is designed to define the performance limit of the barrier and protect the road users.

The photo shows Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. Which statement correctly identifies Old Faithful and explains how it
ivolga24 [154]

The correct answer is - It is a geyser that formed due to water heated by magma erupting at Earth's surface.

Old Faithful is the best known of the geysers in Yellowstone National Park. It is a very big geyser that shoots the boiling hot water relatively high.

The formation of Old Faithful is due to the geological activity in the region. There's lot of volcanic activity in this area, so there's also lot of magma in the area. Because there are lot of cracks in the crust, as well as the magma being very close to the surface, the water is heated deep into the ground. The high pressure contributes to the hot water to be shoot out around 32 meters into the air.

Old Faithful is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Yellowstone National Park, and it is also the first geysers in this area that got its own name back in 1870.
