Answer:

Malala Yousafzai was only 11 years old when she began writing for the BBC her blog about life in the Swat Valley. Writing the blog was of real importance for the rest of the world to understand the sensitivity with which the situation was lived, the daily suffering of what was happening and the restrictions that prevented her from living her normal life as a child. For example, how women's education is difficult or impossible in those areas. She was the victim of an attack and that allowed her to develop even better the cruelty of the repression that was lived and generated greater empathy towards what she wrote in the blog.

If you want the sample response:

Malala lived in the Swat Valley, which was taken over by the Taliban. Using a blog was a good way for her to let people all over the world know that she disagreed with the Taliban's view of girls' education. Even though she lived in a small and faraway city, the blog gave her a huge audience that she could reach at the click of a button.

1. The Monk tells story after story, all with the same moral. What do you think this says about the Monk's character? Explain yo
morpeh [17]

This question refers to the Monk in "The Canterbury Tales". The fact that the Monk tells story after story, all with the same moral, means that he is a simple man, who perceives the world in absolute and simplistic ways.

  • The Monk is a part of "<u>The Canterbury Tales,</u>" which contains 24 stories by British author Geoffrey Chaucer (1343-1400).
  • Among the several characters, the Monk tells different stories with the same moral.
  • All of his stories aim to show characters<u> falling from Grace</u>, that is, going from a high position to a low one.
  • His purpose, through his tragic stories, is <u>to warn people against trusting wealth and prosperity</u>. Reality can change, and one can go from having everything to having nothing.
  • The fact that the monk teaches only the same moral reveals that he is a simple man. His view of the world is also simplistic, and he seems to believe in absolute truths.

Please answer this correctly
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

'The mercenaries fought for as long as they were paid, not just the 40 days a year that knights fought.'

Explanation:

This supports the statement that hired soldiers would fight for longer than knights would. They had motivation which was currency in exchange for their participation in battle/war. The knights on the other hand were only required a certain amount of days. It was not stated whether they were paid or not, but I can assume that they were not which would make one--specifically--a knight reluctant to go to battle. Therefore, hired soldiers did the work the knights were reluctant to do.
