Pay attention to the order of ur letters...
ABC = GXK....this is saying that : < A = < G.....and < B = < X....and < C = < K
so these are ur congruent angles

ABC = GYX...this is saying : side AB = side GY and side BC = side YX and side AC = side GX
and these are ur congruent sides

the length of a rectangle is five feet less than its width. If the area of the rectangle is 84 square feet, find its dimensions
KIM [24]
Let
x---------> the length of the rectangle
y--------> the width of the rectangle

we know that
A=84 ft²
[area of rectangle]=x*y-----> 84=x*y-----> equation 1
x=y-5------> equation 2
substitute 2 in 1
84=[y-5]*y-----> 84=y²-5y---------> y²-5y-84=0

using a graph tool-----> to resolve the second order equation
see the attached figure

the solution is
y=12
x=y-5-----> x=12-5-----> x=7

the answer is
the length of the rectangle is 7 ft
the width of the rectangle is 12 ft

Convert the following statement using an "if-then" structure.
GaryK [48]

Answer:

  D. If John owns a dog, then he owns a cat

Step-by-step explanation:

The implication p → q (if p, then q) has the same truth table as the logical expression ~p∨q. You have the expression ...

  ~(John owns a dog) ∨ (he owns a cat)

Matching parts of this expression to the components of the expression ~p∨q, we see we can choose ...

  • p = John owns a dog
  • q = he owns a cat

and put those into the structure of the implication: if p, then q.

  If John owns a dog, then he owns a cat. . . . . matches choice D

Melissa runs a dog-boarding service. The cost to board a dog for one day is $25.00. If the same dog owner wants to board their d
myrzilka [38]

Answer: 25 + 15x ≤ 150

Step-by-step explanation: For this problem we will write an inequality to represent this situation.

Let x equal each additional day.

25 + 15x ≤ 150

The inequality above states that the dog owner will spend $25 for the first day and then for each additional day the dog owner will spend $15, but is budget is no more than $150 that the dog owner can spend.
