Why does Thomas Paine question British authority to rule the colonies in common sense
erma4kov [3.2K]
Well I'm not sure how to answer ur question, but here's what I do know bout it. It might help.

The Common Sense was a 46 page pamphlet written by an Englishman (and former tax collector). In it he argues, in plain English, why America should be a separate country from England and why war is the only hope left.

Impact: Most widely published work in American history (more popular than Harry potter!) Read aloud at town hall meetings, it's simple language convinces many people that war against England is the right thing to do.

Explain the title, Soldier’s Heart. What do you think the author is trying to say about war and its effects on people?
True [87]

Answer:

Soldiers generally have to endure more than the average person.  They experience violence, tragedy, and death firsthand in the battlefield or in combat.  Soldiers are often also known for being selfless and putting others first and trying to save others lives before their own. So to say "Soldier's Heart" means that someone is a hardened, but good person.
