The slope of the line is -2 and 6x + 3y = 5 also has a slope of -2

To have the slope, the lines must have the same gradient.
Gradient of the given line = (-7--1)/(-1--4) which is the same as (-7+1)/(-1+4.) This gives -6/3= -2

Thus the correct answer will have a gradient of -2
Option 1: There is no X component therefore no gradient, therefore this is wrong
Option 2: Gradient = (2-4)/(1-1)= impossible, therefore this is wrong
Option 3: This has a gradient of -1/2 therefore this is also wrong
Option 4: Rearange the formula to find Y
                 3Y= 5-6x
                  Y= 5/3 -2x
                 Therefore option 4 has a gradient of -2x therefore will have the same slope as the given one

If a class have 32 students and 12 is girls, what is the percentage of girls
Vlad1618 [11]
Hey there!

Here are the steps involved in answering this question:

1. Write 12 out of 32 as a fraction which is \frac{12}{32}

2. Turn the fraction into a decimal. To do this, divide the numerator by the denominator. The numerator is the top part of the fraction while the denominator is the bottom part of the fraction.

   \frac{12}{32} = 0.375

3. You get 0.375. Now, turn this into a percent. Move the decimal, 2 places to the right or just multiply the decimal by 100.

0.375 = 37.5%

The final answer is 37.5%.

George bought 7 ounces of grapes for $3.36. What was the price of the grapes per
ounce?
White raven [17]

Your answer is quite simple, really. All you have to do is divide $3.36 by 7 (The ounces of grapes he bought), and your answer should come out to be $.48, to check if this is correct, you then should add .48, 7 times, or multiply it by 7. Which, is what I did. And that should bring you to 3.36!
