6x - 5y = 17
7x + 3y = 11

to eliminate x....there is a couple ways to do this...

u can multiply equation 1 by 7 and equation 2 by -6
or
u can multiply equation 1 by -7 and equation 2 by 6

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The two equations we have are

6x − 5y = 17

7x + 3y = 11

Now to eliminate any term from them , we try to make the coefficient same . Here we want to eliminate the x term so it is important to make the coefficient of the x term same.

Lets multiply equation one by 7 and second equation by -6

6x − 5y = 17 )*7  => 42x-30y =119

7x + 3y = 11 ) *-6 +> -42x-18y= -66

Now coefficeint of x are same with opposite sign , so we need to multiply first equation by 7 and second by -6.

Write an equation for the function that includes the points (2,100)and (3,100)
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

y = 100 is the easiest function with these points.

Another one is

y = (x - 2)(x - 3) + 100 = x^2 - 5·x + 106

in the interval 0° ≤ x ≤360°, find the values of x for which tan x =1.3562 Give your answers to the nearest degree
belka [17]

Answer:

The answers are 54 degrees and 234 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

mathematically we have the tan positive on only two axes

these are the first (0-90) degrees and the 3rd quadrant (180-270)

We start by find the arc tan of the angle value

Thus;

x = arc tan (1.3562)

x = 54 degrees

On the third quadrant, we have it that;

180 + 54 = 234 degrees
