Hello. You did not provide the necessary documents to answer your question. While we can research the factors that spurred the rise of nationalism during this period of time, it is important that you always provide all the information necessary to answer your question.

Answer:

Nationalism is the social and political movement that, within a society, stimulates the feeling of belonging to a specific culture, region and people, which citizens are proud of and want to protect at any cost.

The rise of nationalism during the period 1750-1900 owes several factors. At the beginning of this period, we can say that nationalism was born with the frequent battles that a region established to dominate another region. The battles made the citizens want to protect their territory and their people, and prevent a foreign culture from dominating what was already established.

This feeling also grew during the Napoleonic wars, where the search for the defense of territories and growing imperialism established strong nationalist principles in the population, strengthening the monarchies. The strengthening of monarchies encouraged groups opposed to this type of government. These groups also encouraged nationalist concepts, adopting enlightened ideas and claiming that the people, the nation, were sovereign.

This nationalist sentiment stimulated the struggle for the fall of monarchies and the independence of colonies, generating a strong feeling of belonging and patriotism.

Following these concepts, nationalism has been strengthened over the years, becoming a political ideology and being one of the main reasons for the establishment of authoritarian nationalist governments, which encouraged several wars, with the discourse of maintaining the honor and power of their nation.

How did contact between the Western Hemisphere and Europe change through the exchange of plants, animals, and pathogens?
Monica [59]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

How did contact between the Western Hemisphere and Europe change through the exchange of plants, animals, and pathogens?

This type of contact indeed revolutionized the relationship between European colonists and Native Americans, Mesoamerican Indians, and African slaves.

The term "Columbian Exchange" was coined by Alfred W. Crosby in 1972, when he referred to the exchange between the white Europeans, and the native people of America, basically regarding goods, plants, animals, and diseases.

During the times of the Columbian exchange, thousands of white Europeans came to America and Mesoamerica, the Caribbean Islands, and South America. After Spanish colonization, this vast region was known as New Spain. So Spaniards married Native Indians and Mestizos were born. English people decided to found colonies in North America.

During the Columbian Exchange and Triangular Trade, people were transported to the Americas, there was continuing trade, and also Europeans brought many diseases to the Americas that almost wipe out the entire population of Native Indians. We are talking about diseases such as chickenpox, smallpox, malaria, cholera, or influenza.

liraira [26]

The correct answer is A) it can help battle world hunger but relies on insecticides that can harm the environment.

The statement that best describes both the positive and negative effects of industrialized farming is "it can help battle world hunger but relies on insecticides that can harm the environment."

Industrialized farming is the modern industrial process of seeding, growing, and process our food. This manufactured process is done by powerful companies that are multinational and have bought many small or local farms to have a huge emporium of food. These companies invest a lot of money in new technologies and chemicals to produce more, not healthy food, but just more food.
