The Wilmot Proviso was a more-or-less religious declaration that slavery wouldnot be permitted in any of the new territories that were likely to be admittedto the USA. This would increase Northern dominance of Congress, and enable moreraising of taxes on imports - the big controversy in the South, which had nomanufacturing industry, and depended largely on imported goods. Please mark brainliest, thanks! :)

Ivanshal [37]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

One question that needs to be asked before the views of a particular interest group is allowed too much influence over public policy is "the number of people represented by that group."

This is correct because it all depends on the number of people that are part of an interest group. The higher the number, the higher the influence degree in decisions.

Interest groups have particular political and economic agendas. That is why they try to influence the government and legislation. Political interest groups hire lobbyists to negotiate with Congressmen, trying to support their particular agendas.

But Congressmen must remember that they were elected to serve teh United States citizens and their concerns, not to satisfy interest groups' particular agendas.
