He was the first industrialist who extensively used the assembly line in the mass production of cars; it turned into the standard production method from phonographs to hamburgers. But what probably allowed his extraordinary success was the business idea of fabricating a car for the masses, a car that could be bought and driven by common people, not only by rich people. That idea is simply grandiose and inspiring.

Imagine you want to make a sandwhich as fast you can. You will make it much faster with your mom getting the bread, your dad putting on the cheese, and your brother putting on the turkey, than you doing all of these things by yourself. Hence the reason Henry Ford created the assemply line.
