The missing diagram is attached below

Answer:

The length of XY is 10 units

The value of sin (X) is \frac{4}{5}

The value of cos (X) is  \frac{3}{5}

The value of tan (X) is  \frac{4}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

In Δ XYZ

∵ ∠Z is a right angle

∴ XY is the hypotenuse

∴ XZ and YZ are the legs of the triangle

- Use Pythagoras Theorem to find the length of XY

∵ (XY)² = (XZ)² + (YZ)²

∵ XZ = 6 units

∵ YZ = 8 units

- Substitute them in the formula above

∴ (XY)² = (6)² + (8)²

∴ (XY)² = 36 + 64

∴ (XY)² = 100

- Take √ for both sides

∴ XY = 10 units

In The right Δ there are trigonometry ratios

sin X = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse}

cos X = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}

tan X =  \frac{opposite}{adjacent}

∵ The side opposite to ∠X is YZ

∵ The side adjacent to ∠ X is XZ

∵ The hypotenuse is XY

∴ sin X = \frac{YZ}{XY}

∴ cos X = \frac{XZ}{XY}

∴ tan X = \frac{YZ}{XZ}

∵ YZ = 8 and XY = 10

∴ sin X = \frac{8}{10}

- Reduce it to its lowest term

∴ sin (X) = \frac{4}{5}

∴ cos X = \frac{6}{10}

- Reduce it to its lowest term

∴ cos (X) = \frac{3}{5}

∴ tan X = \frac{8}{6}

- Reduce it to its lowest term

∴ tan (X) = \frac{4}{3}

If x+3/3 = y+2/2, then x/3=
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

C.) y/2

Step-by-step explanation:

We can simplify (x+3)/3 to x/3 + 3/3, then simplify (y+2)/2 to y + 2/2, and since 2/2 and 3/3 are both 1, so we can say that x/3 + 1 = y/2 + 1, meaning that x/3 = y/2.

Three friends entered a race around a track. Edward takes 6 minutes to run one lap. Bernie takes 3 minutes to run one lap and it
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

It will take 30 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to calculate the time it will take for the three friends to be at the starting point again

What we do here is to note the time it will take for each of the three friends to run a lap

That will be 6 , 3 and 5

What we now need to know the time is to find the lowest common multiple of the three amount of time

The lowest common multiple of 6,3 and 5 is 30

So the amount of time it will take the friends to be at the starting point again is 30 minutes

Determine whether the relation is a function: {(6, 1), (8, –3), (6, 7)}.
ICE Princess25 [194]

Hello there! The answer would be the first one, or No. At least one output results in two inputs.

When dealing with functions: you must remember that x does not repeat. So, lets look at the relation given, {(6, 1), (8, –3), (6, 7)}. You can see that x does repeat, so this is not a function. This eliminates second and fourth option choices. Out of the options A and C, A would be your choice since x is the input value and y is the output value, and there are two input values.

Hope his helps and have a  great day!
