The molar concentration of the HCl is 0.67 mol/L.

1. Write the balanced chemical equation.

HCl + NaOH ⟶ NaCl + H₂O

2. Calculate the moles of NaOH

\text{Moles of NaOH} =\text{10 mL NaOH} \times \frac{\text{1 mmol NaOH}}{\text{1 mL NaOH}} = \text{10 mmol NaOH}\\

2. Calculate the moles of HCl.

\text{Moles of HCl} =\text{10 mmol NaOH} \times \frac{\text{1 mmol HCl}}{\text{1 mol NaOH}} = \text{10 mmol HCl}\\

3. Calculate the molar concentration of the HCl

c = \frac{\text{moles}}{\text{litres}} = \frac{\text{10 mmol}}{\text{15 mL}} = \textbf{0.67 mol/L}\\

Why is an alloy is often more useful than a pure metal
mrs_skeptik [129]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

A pure metal has specific properties. Sometimes we need that metal but with modified properties. So for the modification of properties we make alloys.

<h3>Explanation;</h3>
  • An alloy is a mixture of two elements, one of which is a metal.
  • Alloys often have properties that are different to the metals they contain.
  • This makes them more useful than the pure metals alone.
  • For example, alloys are often harder than the metal they contain.

What is the IUPAC name for this product?
mihalych1998 [28]

The IUPAC name for the given product is 2 chloro Butane.

<h3>What is IUPAC nomenclature?</h3>

IUPAC stands for 'International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry', which givers some rule for designing the name of compounds of chemistry.

  • In the given product total four carbon atoms are present and between all of them single bonds are present.
  • In the second carbon atom, chlorine group is present.
  • During the nomenclature process, first we write down the name of the attached group which is followed by the alkane chain.

Hence name of the product is 2 chloro Butane.
