we are given

x^2 +3x -10

it's factor as (x+p)(x+q)

so, we can write as

x^2 +3x -10= (x+p)(x+q)

we can simplify it

x^2 +3x -10= x^2 +(p+q)x +pq

now, we can compare both sides

coefficient of x must be equal

so, we get

3= (p+q)

(p+q)=3

now, we can look at the table where p+q =3

so, we can see that when p+q=3 .... then p=-2 and q=5

so, option-A.......Answer

I really don't get what the top box is asking me what to do
Kay [80]

Answer:

  • See below

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>The circle has a circumference:</u>

  • C = 2πr

This the is arc of full length θ = 360°

<u>Each degree of arc length is:</u>

  • s = 2πr*θ / 360 = πrθ / 180

<u>We have:</u>

  • r = 6 in and θ = 25°

<u>The arc length is:</u>

  • s = π*6*25/180 = (5/6)π inches terms of π

<u>The same arc is:</u>

  • s = (5/6)*3.14 = 2.62 inches (rounded)

Total Price: The sales tax rate is 5%. If the sales tax on a 10-speed bicycle is $9, what is the purchase price?
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

The purchase price is $180

The total price is: $189

Step-by-step explanation:

Sales tax rate = 5\%

Sales tax on bike = $9

We need to find the purchase price.

Let purchase price = x

We know that Sales tax = 5% of x

and Total price = Purchase Price + Sales tax

So, we can write:

Sales tax = 5% of x

Putting values and finding x

9 =5\% \:of\: x\\9=\frac{5}{100}\:of\:x \\x= \frac{9*100}{5}\\x=180

So, the value of x i.e Purchase price = $180

The purchase price is $180

Now finding the total price of bicycle

Total price = Purchase Price + Sales tax

Total price = 180 + 9

Total price = $189

So, The total price is: $189
