Answer:

See below

Explanation:

Agamemnon was the leader the Greek Army during the Trojan war. When he returned home, he was murdered by his wife, Clytemnestra along with her lover. Agamemnon's son, Orestes' cannot stop the killing, but vows revenge, even though it means that he will have to kill his own mother. He eventually is able to avenge his father's killing by killing the murderers. Even though he has killed his mother, this action is considered just, so Orestes' doesn't feel any guilt over the situation. There are many similarities between that father/son duo and the Telemachus/Odysseus duo. Odysseus also fought in Greek Army against the Trojans. He has yet to return and it is questionable if he is even still alive. The suitors want to cash in on the opportunity that Odysseus' absence presents. They take over the palace and commit acts that dishonor Odysseus and his wife. Telemachus is asked to avenge the dishonoring of his father by killing the suitors. Athena assists him by telling him this story to encourage him.

Agamemnon was the leader of the Greek troops in the Trojan wars and Orestes was his son. When Agamemno returned from the war, he was murdered by his wife's lover in conjunction with his wife. Orestes could not stop them but he seeked vengeance for his father. After a long time, he found them and avenged his father while killing them. He killed his mother, but Greek mythology claims that his act was just and he was spared the remorse and the guilt. There are a lot of similarities with the Ulysses/Telemachus father son pair. Ulysses was also one of the leaders of the excursion to Troy. He still has not returned home, but in a sense the suitors of Penelope are marring his estate and his reputation. While Penelope is faithful to Ulysses, the suitors by taking hold of the palace and committing their shameful acts are dishonoring Ulysses. In the same context, Telemachus is asked just like Orestes to restitute his father's honor, regardless of whether he is alive or dead. Athena is helping him and encouraging him with this example and he himself feels the need to save his father's honor.

Write a rough draft narrative essay about overcoming a challenge
777dan777 [17]

Everyone faces challenges of different sorts in one’s life. I too had to face many challenges. One of them was my desire to win gold medal for school in inter-school athletic meet. I had tried many times but to no avail .
I clearly remember the defeat in the final 100 meter race last year during the inter-school athletic meet. I had to face lots of embarrassment and shame for not being able to win the gold medal for my school!
I had resolved that I would win the medal at any cost in the next year’s championship. So I had trained very hard. I did not miss any practice. I went on long runs to increase my stamina. I would sprint at the fastest speed possible. And out of my hard-work emerged fast running skills. The confidence to beat all my rivals grew stronger with each passing day.
And then the annual inter-school athletic meet arrived. The day I had to run, the entire stadium was packed to capacity. My teachers, principal, students, and my parents sat in the front rows to see me run to victory.
As I took position on the track, I was highly nervous. But then I calmed my mind. And then at the starting pistol I ran like bullet. I won the race with record time. I created a new national record in the 100 meter race. I was given standing ovation with thundering applause.
Receiving the gold medal from the Sports Minister I felt so proud and that is how I realized that courage and hope can help me overcome any major mishap or problem in life. If we hold on to our dreams and keep working hard for them, one day we will surely succeed
