Answer:
The author's pupose, audience, and context helps to develop the message as these are some of the most vital elements a writer should remember while inscribing anything.
Explanation:
There are five elements that is required to communicate in any rhetorical situtation:
- Author's Purpose,
- Audience
- Message
- Context
- Author
These elements are vital and interconnected. The purpose of writing is what encourages a writer to write something. Once the purpose is revealed, the author needs to know his intended audience. The audience has a major impact in the formation of writing. Different audience listens to the speaker withh different motive. For example, an audience of students would listen to be informed and guided, whereas executives will listen or read with the purpose of making decisions. So, the audience will help determine the author to style his writing based on the needs of the audience.
The purpose, or why of the writing influences the message of the text. If the purpose of the text is to persuade the audience then message will be based and stylised on how to persuade the audience. The context is the situation which leads to the need of writing. It includes time, location, culture, etc. This influence the message as it will help the writer to form the message in its contextual reference.

We can infer here that what actually happened to Ned is that Mr. Reamer angrily carried him up to beat him up. If I am in Ned's shoes, I will be ashamed.

What is inference?

Inference actually refers to the conclusion that one arrives to after evaluating the available and necessary evidences. Inference is known to be reached after observation and experiments have been cried out.
We see here the way Mr. Reamer picked Ned shows that he was angry with what Ned said in Navajo.
If one is in Ned's shoes, such person will be ashamed. This is because such act looks insulting. Mr. Reamer, as stated in the passage is seen to be angry and to have to carry Ned like a puppy.
