Answer:

Suzy’s ability to retrieve what Jacques said is due to her echoic memory.

Explanation:

Echoic memory is a type of super-short-term memory that stores sounds for about 4 seconds only. That can happen even if we are not paying attention to the sounds, such as is the case with Suzy. For the information received to be processed and given meaning to, it moves from the echoic memory to the short-term memory. Echoic memory is also called auditory sensory memory.

The diagram below shows the layers in Earth's interior.
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

Layer A is hotter than Layer B

Explanation:

Layer A is the mantle layer, while Layer B is the crust. The crust is the top layer, and it is also the thinnest. The temperature and pressure on it are by far the smallest compared to any other layer, and this is a layer that is brittle solid. The mantle layer, on the other hand, is much hotter layer, as well as having much higher pressure. The temperatures are so high that the rocks are actually melted in the mantle, thus producing the magma.

James uses the word more to mean "i want another cookie." in this case, more is a(n) _____.
avanturin [10]
This is more of a holophrase.
Holophrase is what we call the usage of a single word in order to express complex ideas and whole sentences. For example when a child says "cookie" that is and example of holophrase as she is asking for a cookie. Toddlers use this and pass through this stage quite early. It is important to note that holophrase is used without grammatical intent.

According to the puritan doctrine of predestination, how could one influence whether they were sent to heaven or hell after deat
yaroslaw [1]

The term “Puritanism” was given to members of the Anglican Church of England in mid-16th century who claimed they wanted to “purify” the church. It was particularly strong in British North America. One of their strongest beliefs was that of “predestination.”

The doctrine of predestination argues that one cannot chose to be saved, nor can we achieve salvation simply by our actions. Whether we are saved or not will depend on whether God chooses to save us.

They distinguish between:

Justification: When God elects those he will grant salvation.

Sanctification: The holy behaviour that comes with being saved.

Their belief was that God had already decided whether each person was going to be saved or not, and human behaviour could do nothing to alter it.

This belief, instead of making them despair, motivated the Puritans to try to find “evidence” of whether God had elected them. This evidence came in the form of their personal behaviour. Therefore, it prevented followers from falling into despair or temptation, and instead provided them with another reason to lead a righteous life.
