What's the area of the room in this diagram?
GenaCL600 [577]
I believe it should be B.156 square feet because in order to find the area of a square, you gotta multiply 13ft and 12ft. Once that is solved your answer should be 156.

The ordered pair (1, -5) is a solution for the system x + 2y = -9 and x - y = 6.
true
false
sweet [91]
In an ordered pair, x is the first number and y is the second number. So this is telling you x=1 and y=-5. You can take this information and plug it into the formulas.

x + 2y = -9
1 + 2(-5) = -9
1 + -10 = -9? True

x - y = 6
1 - -5 = 6? *
1 + 5 = 6? True.

(*Subtracting a negative makes it a positive.)

Please help!! :) thanks!
Katarina [22]
First you have to estimate.

$3.98 —>$4.00

$4.19 —>$4.00

$0.79 —>$1.00

Then we need to add.

4+4+1=9

So the answer is C, $9
