A) -4
d) -3.1
for these questions you have to subtract the two numbers since they have different signs and the biggest sign is the ending sign

Well when you add negative number to a positive number its like subtracting, forget the negative sign is even there and subtract like lets say 1 number was -6.89 and the other one was 3.89 you subtract and if the negative number is more then the positive number you put the negative sign in front so the answer is -3.00 just keep doing that and you should be fine hope I helped :)

What is the slope of a line perpendicular to the line whose equation is 3x-3y=54. Fully simplify your answer.
padilas [110]
Perpendicular = opposite sign and reciprocal slope
Make equation into y = mx + b
Add 3y to both sides
3y + 54 = 3x
Subtract 54
3y = 3x - 54
Divide by 3
y = x - 18
The slope is 1
Make it negative and reciprocal
= -1/1 = -1

Solution: the slope will be -1

At a toy factory, toy cars are produced on an assembly line. It takes 8.216 seconds to attach the wheels. It takes 3.652 seconds
AlexFokin [52]
From what I think;

8.216secs - 1 wheel; 3.652- 1 hood
for I toy car with a wheel and hood the total time is 8.216+ 3.652 = 11.868secs
let x secs be the total time taken to put a wheel and hood for 42 cars
x secs = 42 cars × the total time for one car
x secs = 42× 11.868
x secs= 498.456 secs

Distance between 2,-5 and 3,-7
joja [24]

Answer:

√5

Step-by-step explanation:

(2 ,-5) = (x_1,y_1)\\(3,-7)=(x_2,y_2)\\\\d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}\\ \\d = \sqrt{(3-2)^2 +(-7-(-5))^2}\\ \\d = \sqrt{(1)^2+(-7+5)^2}\\ \\d = \sqrt{(1)^2 + (-2)^2}\\ \\d = \sqrt{1 +4}\\ \\d = \sqrt{5}
