This is a bit confusing. B) The Battles of Lexington were the first fought in the revolutionary war, with more than a year before the declaration of independence. But The Battle of Bunker Hill was also fought before the declaration.

But the Battle of Bunker Hill was a defeat. So the right answer is B) The BattleS of Lexington. They were won by colonist, due to the use of skirmishing tactics, that did not allow the british regulars to use the full power of their volleys because the colonial troops were scattered and well dug up.

Why would the church and religious life have had such great appeal in the medieval ages?
sasho [114]
Because belonging to the church (being a church official such as a priest or a bishop) esentially meant you were given education (not common or at all present in those times) and a good position with a pay. You also exerted a lot of power in your local or regional community as church officials were considered to have been influential figures in medieval ages.

Do you think the industrial revolution could have begun in a country other then Great Britain?? Why or why not??
Inga [223]

Probably not.

Great Britain had the perfect blend of resources needed for rapid industrialization and a population that had transferable skills.

In particular, Great Britain had an abundance of coal.
