The belief that sociology is just the study of society has been long faded because modern researches in sociology include how we define ourselves, why we behave in a particular way and how these questions are related to our association to a particular society at a particular point of time and space. It determines the relationship of individuals and their association to social groups such as gender, race, religion, ethnicity, etc.
