This might not be right, but I think it has something to do with the dominant and recessive traits!
Let’s say the mom has red fur ( Recessive ) and the dad has green fur ( Dominate)

I don’t know if that made sense but that’s like a table of like recessive trait things with dominant I don’t even know if that’s gonna pop up how I wanted to on the screen but it’s like the dominant trait will override the recessive trait if that even make sense like brown eyes are more popular than blue eyes if your mom has brown eyes and your dad has blue eyes you’re most likely to get brown eyes because it’s more dominant
