Answer:

9) 496 cubic unit

10)10.94

Step-by-step explanation:

in question 9, req volume will be (volume of cube of lenght 10 - that of hole)

hole can be divided into 5 parts,in which 4 have same dimension 6×6×2,and middle part is cube of dimension 6×6×6, total volume will be 4(6×6×2)+6×6×6

=504 cubic.unit

volume of larger cube is 10×10×10=1000 cubic unit

req answer is 1000-504 cubic unit

=496 cubic unit.

10) the ant should walk diagonally to cover minimum distance to reach from A to B, the shortest distance will be when the ant cover the height of lenght 2,then diagonally btwn 4×8, i.e, by using Pythagorean theorem √(16+64)=8.94

now total will be 8.94+2=10.94, it's the shortest possible distance so far!

I'll update each part after solving... wait!

Debbie is borrowing 3 books from her friend who has a collection of 45 books. Which of the following expressions represents the
Tju [1.3M]
As we observe clearly the problem given, it is clear that the order in which Debbie would choose the 3 books out of the total of 45 books is not important. This makes the problem an example of a Combination problem. The answer to this item is therefore letter B. C(45,3) read as combination of 45 taken 3.
