8 goes with 3/5: 10 goes with n (n being the number of cups)

\frac{8}{3/5}  =  \frac{10}{n}

Use cross products and we get 8n = 6
Now divide by 8
8n  = 6
8       8

n= 6/8 or 3/4 of a cup of flour.

11. PLS help!!! the question is attached in the image below
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

y = 3/2x-5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

We have two points so we can write the equation for the line. (-1,-4) and (3,2)

First we can find the slope by using

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m = (2- -4)/(3 - -1)

   =(2+4)/(3+1)

   = 6/4

    = 3/2

Then put the slope into the slope intercept form of the equation

y= mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = 3/2x+b

We will use the point (3,2) and substitute it into the equation to find b

2 = 3/2(3)+b

2 = 9/2 +b

Subtract 9/2 from each side

4/2 -9/2 = 9/2-9/2 +b

-5/2 = b

y = 3/2x-5/2

Some fractions have a denominator that is greater than the numerator. Some fractions have a numerator that is greater than the d
Elanso [62]
No, you can't. If the denominator is greater than the numerator, that fraction's absolute value is always less than 1. If the numerator is greater than the denominator, that fraction's absolute value is always more than 1. Therefore, for both of them to be equal to each other, you are saying that a fraction that is less than 1 is equal to the fraction more than one. However, you can have a fraction with a larger denominator actually be of greater value than the one with the larger numerator. For example, -(9/8) vs -(8/9). -(9/8) has a greater numerator, yet -(8/9) is greater than it, despite having a larger denominator. Of course, this case can be written off as having the negative factored in with either the numerator with denominator, so it is easier to remember the rule above without the negative mumbo jumbo.

Big Gary's Canoe Place rents out their canoes for $10 plus $4 per hour.
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

She rented the canoe for 5 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

I got the answer by first subtracting $10 from $30 for the price of the canoe, witch is $20. Then you would divide $20 by $4 and get 5.
