"Which molecule controls the rate of pentose phosphate pathway?
kirza4 [7]

Answer:

Part 1:

Correct option is A: "NaDP+/NaDPH"

Part 2:

Correct option is F: "glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase"

Explanation:

Various levels of control are put in place to keep a check on the pathway. This is an example of one such control. This dehydrogenase enzyme is responsible to control the rate of reaction and it is stimulated by NADP+ while it is inhibited by NaDPH. The oxidative reaction is under the influence of the NaDP+/NaDPH concentration, which is catalyzed by glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

Hope that answers the question, have a great day!

Describe how facilitated diffusion helps large molecules cross cell membranes. What kinds of proteins are involved?
Dima020 [189]

Yeah yeah so :D,

Large polar molecules can only cross the membrane with the help of protein named channel protein and carrier protein.

So, this both proteins act like a gate, the large molecules enter the protein and the protein let the large molecules in to the membrane. (see the picture so that you can understand more, its carrier protein)

the only difference between channel protein and carrier protein is, channel proteins has fixed shape while carrier protein can flip.

Any mutations in DNA are forever, since DNA is the master blueprint. All mutations will be passed onto new cells through DNA replication, and all RNA made from that DNA will also have the mutation. If the mutation occurs in sperm or egg cells, those mutations will also be passed on to the organism's offspring.
