there a living thing. There alive but cant reproduce unlike most cells that are in your body. So they get in a host.. like your body, and are able to reproduce "multiply". If there were "dead" like the previous person stated then they would not efect us at all, hince why flu shots are actually "alive". Well the flumist is. Thats the live flu virus. Its just diluted (weakend) soo much it cant effect you at all. And if you ever come in contact with the virus itself in the outside world it wont hurt you becasue technically you already have it.

Amylase catalyzes a reaction with starch to directly create _______.
mario62 [17]

Maltose is produced instantly when amylase reacts with starch.

Starch is a polysaccharide molecule made of glucose units. The chemical formula of the starch is written as (C₆H₁₀O₅)ₙ. The starch consists of amylose and amylopectin. The glucose units in this starch are linked with the help of two kinds of bonds α 1,4 glycosidic linkages and α 1,6 glycosidic linkages.

This starch molecule is first hydrolyzed into shorter polysaccharides, dextrins, and maltose with a help of an enzyme called amylase. The maltose can be further hydrolyzed into glucose units with the help of the maltase enzyme.

Therefore, the blank can be filled with maltose.

If you have a cell with more salt outside the cell, then inside the cell what will happen to the cell?
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

The cell would lose the water inside it causing it to die.

Explanation:

Water in cells moves towards the higher concentration of salt so if there is more on the outside the water would move on the outside causing it to die because it needs water. If it was the opposite and there was more salt inside more water would go inside causing the cell to swell and virtually exploding and diluting parts of our body.

Irina-Kira [14]
Cellular respiration in algae, as in all organisms, is the process by which food molecules are metabolized to obtain chemical energy for the cell. During the process of photosynthesis, cells use carbon dioxide and energy from the Sun to make sugar molecules and oxygen. These sugar molecules are the basis for more complex molecules made by the photosynthetic cell, such as glucose.

The leading cause of limited water supplies is ?
Zanzabum

The correct answer is low precipitation.

The cause of limited water supplies is reduced precipitation or low precipitation.

Precipitation is termed as any product of condensation which is of atmospheric water vapour which falls under gravity.

Forms of precipitation can be sleet, snow, graupel, hail, drizzle, and rain.

Precipitation occurs when portion of atmosphere comes to being saturated with water vapor such that water condenses and then it precipitates.

It is the major component of water cycle and deposits fresh water to planet.
