The student is not correct. For angles to be coterminal, the difference between their measures must be a multiple of 360°. The difference between 180° and –180° is 360°. Angles with measures 180° and –180° are coterminal.

<span>A student says that the measures of coterminal angles are never opposites of each other, the student is wrong because </span>Coterminal angles<span> are </span>angles<span> in standard position (</span>angles<span>with the initial side on the positive x -axis) that have a common terminal side. For example 30° , −330° and 390° are all </span>coterminal.

Need help solving the equation, trying to figure whether I multiply or divide.
USPshnik [31]

Answer:

m∠B = 43°

b = 26.1

c = 38.3

Step-by-step explanation:

By applying triangle sum in the given triangle,

47° + 90° + m∠B = 180°

137° + m∠B = 180°

m∠B = 43°

By applying sine ratio to the angle measuring 47°.

sin(47°) = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

            = \frac{28}{c}

c = \frac{28}{\text{sin}(47^{\circ})}

c = 38.28

c ≈ 38.3

By applying cosine rule,

cos(47°) = \frac{\text{Adjacent side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

             = \frac{b}{c}

             = \frac{b}{38.3}

b = 38.3[cos(47°)]

b = 26.1

Help me please I beg you
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

Neither

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to transform one of the equations into its slope-intercept form:

y + 2/5x = 8

Subtract 2/5x from both sides:

y = -2/5x + 8

y = -5/2x - 7

Graphing both lines, they do intersect at point (-7.14, 10.86), but they are not parallel, nor are they perpendicular from each other. By definition, perpendicular lines must appear to be perpendicular (that is, they intersect at a 90° angle).

Looking at the attached graph (where the purple line is y = -2/5x + 8), their lines do not form a 90° angle.

Therefore, the correct answer is neither.
