In an Arithmetic sequence, each term is obtained by adding the common difference in the previous term as shown in the recursive formula.

The common difference of the sequence is -13. This means, if we -13 to a term we'll obtain the next term.

If a term is 13, the term that will be next to 13 can be obtained by adding -13 to it.

So,

13 + ( -13) = 13 - 13 = 0

Thus, the next term will be 0.

The first thing I did was follow all the instructions using MS Excel as a tools. First I plot the two points (3,2) and (7,12). Then, I scaled the x-axis from 0 to 9 with increments of 1, and 0 to 18 for the y-axis with increments of 2. Finally, I extended the line by connecting the two dots and extending both sides. The result is shown in the picture.

So, from the scale of the axes alone, the domain of the function is the coverage of all its x-values. If the line has coordinates on that x-value, it is part of the domain. Basing on the picture the domain is 2.2≤x≤9. So, the lower limit must not be lower than 2, and the upper limit must not be greater than 9. Among the choices, the accepted values that are still part of the domain is 3 ≤ x ≤ 7.

A total of 363 were sold for the school play. They were either adult tickets or student tickets. The number of student tickets s
timurjin [86]

Answer:

The number of adult tickets sold was 121

Step-by-step explanation:

The general equation is: S + A = T ;where S means student tickets, A means adult tickets and T means total tickets. We know that S is two times A and T is 363. So, S will be 2x and A will be x. Then, the new equation is 2x + x = 363.

S + A = T

2x + x = 363

3x = 363

x = 363 / 3

x = 121

Adult tickets: A = x = 121

Student tickets: S = 2x = 2 * 121 = 242

Can you please answer the last question, i really need help and please explain thank you
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

x3, +1

Step-by-step explanation:

To go from x to 3x +1, we need to multiply by 3 and add 1. However, the order is important! Think back to PEMDAS, BIDMAS or any equivalent, we know that multiplication goes before addition, and so x3 happens first. To double check, let's have a look at an example, and use x = 2, and so 3x+1 becomes 7.

If we add first, we get 2+1 = 3, and then when we multiply, we get 3x3=9, which isn't correct.

If we multiply first, we get 3x2=6, and then 6+1=7

Hope I helped! xx
