Ok, I may be right or I may be wrong because this is high school stuff. After all, I am in middle school so I will do the best I can to answer these questions. These questions can be answered with context clues and prior knowledge.
#1. The word trip may mean like dance or skip as the normal definition says so. It may make sense as if you insert it into the sentence: Letters dance/skip over each other as they race to leave my mouth.
#2. The word sag may mean like to droop or sink because it says with his head in his hands.
#3. March means to walk forward or to proceed as it says lines them up in order.
I hope this will help you but remember I AM NOT in high school so these are what I think is the answers so if you don't think I am correct do it yourself.
