In 1924 the U.S. Congress passed legislation severely limiting immigration from Europe, and cutting off almost all immigration f

rom Asia. Two years earlier the Supreme Court had ruled that Asians were ineligible for U.S. citizenship. The Japanese viewed such measures as deliberate insults, and responded by organizing boycotts of American products. The following editorial appeared in the April 29, 1924 issue of the Japan Times and Mail.
The fact remains that the Senate has passed, with an overwhelming majority, an amendment which they know is a most humiliating one to the Japanese race, and the event cuts the Japanese minds deep, a wound that will hurt and rankle for generations and generations....
...[T]he Senate has been most unfortunate in the choice of time for taking its action. While professing to be jubilant over the increased prospects of permanency of peace in consequence of the Washington Conference, all Japanese have ever since felt in the secret recesses of their heart that their country has been considerably weakened in its naval strength. To add to this there came that great devastating earthquake of last year [1923, when a massive earthquake destroyed a large section of Tokyo], with its far reaching effect in all directions, seen especially in the ever-increasing balance of the country’s trade on the wrong side. It has been said openly more than once in different quarters abroad that Japan is as good as crushed to a naval and economic helplessness, from which there will be no recovering for a generation or two. Mark, then, it is at such a time that the Senate of the United States has said practically this: “We deliberately offer you this insult, knowing that you can do no more than make a wry face.”
This is extremely unfortunate. For a friendly turn in the hour of need will be remembered permanently, but an unfriendly act that takes advantage of one’s helpless condition makes nothing of all the past and darkens the long future....

What compromise did the federalists and the antifederalists come to in order to ratify the constitution?
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

The space was a well-constructed thrust stage however, the stage was not raised off the ground and the seats appeared to be mobile which lead to the belief that this is an Environmental Theater. As for the layout of the stage, there was a couch and a table in center stage for the first two acts, a door to the unseen outside front of the house upstage right, there were two large double doors upstage center leading to the backyard garden, and a raised floor upstage left containing a piano, a bookcase and a door leading to the home library. Stage left there was a half spiral staircase that lead up to the second floor which had a painting and lights that extended across to stage right. The second floor also contained the bedrooms for the house but the doors were not in sight. The detail was greater than expected: the hardwood floor throughout the first floor seemed to be genuine, the actual bookcase filled with real books not stage books, and the extremely large double doors with translucent glass and floral designs lead to the Garden, which featured an array of plants behind the doors. The entire space was well lit for the duration of the play; the stage took place inside the Bliss’ home so the bright lighting added a confortable feel to the inside of the house. The theatre was nearly sold out; it was hard to spot an empty seat, including the balcony and lower level seating. The crowd contained nearly an even amount of student audience members and senior citizens; there was few in the audience that appeared middle aged.

do you think its possible to do 702 assignments done in a day? please give me encouragement. I have two days left or ill get hel
sukhopar [10]

702? In one day I hate to say it, it's unlikely to happen. Unless you plan to write some unsupported answers. Although you should still try your hardest to get some in. I don't think they will be done to a perfect mark but depending on your time management and motivation. You would definitely need to stay on task and set a certain time for each assignment.

Do not worry about perfection because that might just slow you down.

!! ALSO FOCUS ON ASSIGNMENTS THAT ARE WORTH A LOT OF MARKS FIRST!!

Assignments are usually certain lengths as teachers assign them to be done by certain days. So this might stress you out. Think of ways to calm this anxiety down. (Listen to calming music, drink water BUT STAY ON TASK)

Really the only advice I can give is to not get distracted ( I know it is hard but think about what might happen if you don't pass..) , focus on your work, and complete assignments early next time. By doing this not only will it relives so much stress, but you can also have so much more free time.

I believe in you that you will get work done. Let me know if you need any help with questions!!
