F(x)=(2x+1)(3x-2)
The zero product property says that f(x)=0 when either (2x+1)=0, or (3x-2)=0, or both.
We also know that the zeroes of an equation are the values of x when f(x)=0.
So f(x)=0 when (2x+1)=0 or (3x-2)=0 => x=-1/2 or when x=2/3. which are the roots of f(x).

A. the y-intercepts have nothing to do with the zeroes of f(x).
B. By definition of zero of a function, it is true that the values of x when f(x)=0 are the zeroes of f(x).
C. The zeroes of f(x) are the same as the ones calculated above, so it is true.
D. The x-intercepts of the lines are basically the zeroes of the function f(x), as explained above.  So the statement is true.

Answer:

1 ) 1 cubic centimeter = 0.000001 cubic meters

2 ) 4 cubic meters = 4000000 centimeters

3 ) 948 cubic meters = 948000 liters

Step-by-step explanation:

1 )

<u>Conversion</u>

1 centimeter = 0.01 meters

1 cubic centimeter

= 0.01 x 0.01 x 0.01

= 0.000001 cubic meters

72 cubic meters

= 72 x 0.000001

= 0.000072 cubic centimeters

2 )

<u>Conversion</u>

1 meter = 100 centimeter

1 cubic meter

= 100 x 100 x 100

= 1000000 cubic centimeters

4 cubic meters

= 4 x 1000000

= 4000000 centimeters

3 )

<u>Conversion</u>

1 cubic meter = 1000 liters

948 cubic meters

= 948 x 1000

= 948000 liters

irina [24]

Answer:

(3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The method of variable substitution is a way of solving a system of equations. It involves solving one equation for a variable and then substituting in the expression that represents the value of the solved variable into the other equation. After doing so, one can solve for the unknown variable and then backsolve for the other variable.

y=-2x+8\\y=x-1

In this system, the second equation is already solved for (y), thus one can substitute that expression into the other equation in the system.

x-1 = -2x + 8

Now solve using inverse operations,

x -1 = -2x + 8\\+2x\\\\3x - 1 = 8\\+1\\\\3x =9\\/3\\\\x = 3

Backsolve to find the value of (y), substitute in the value of (x), and solve for the value of (y).

y=x - 1\\

Substitute,

y=(3)-1

Solve,

y=2

Thus, the answer to this system of equations is the following, (3,2).
