The average rate of change is the slope of the secant line connecting the points on f(x) from x=-5 to x=10.

In other words, it is just the slope of the straight line connecting the points
(-5,f(-5)) \: and \: (10,f(10))

So we were given ,

f(x) = {x}^{2} - 3x - 10

At
x = - 5
f( - 5) = {( -5 )}^{2} - 3( - 5) - 10
f( - 5) = 25 + 15- 10
f( - 5) = 30

Also at
x = 10
f( 10) = {( 10)}^{2} - 3( 10) - 10.
f( 10) = 100- 30 - 10
f( 10) = 60

The average rate of change
= \frac{f(10) - f( - 5)}{10 - - 5}
= \frac{60- 30}{15}
= \frac{30}{15}
= 2

5 is b and 1 is a
1 is A because just change the x value with the number in the table for x and see if y matches like
Y=-2x+6
Y=-2*1 + 6
4 =-2*1+6

And for 5
Day is x, y is depending on x and your going to add .4 to everything. But it’s growing .2 every day so it’s
Y=0.2x+0.4

I hope this helps you if I’m not right please tell me so if other people use those they know I’m wrong if I am. I don’t think so thou. If not please give me brainiest. Thank you!!
Have a nice night.

BRAINLIEST ASAP!!!!!!!<br><br> why is it useful to factor out the gcf first when factoring
Lelu [443]
By pulling out the common factors for each pair of terms, we can rewrite the original polynomial like this:
3x(2x + 1) + 10(2x + 1)
These two terms now have a common factor of (2x + 1). Seems like we should be able to do something with that information, don't you think? In fact, we can pull out this common factor and rewrite the polynomial again:

Find the angles in this quadilateral
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

Therefore a= 90°,b=54°, x=54°, y= 162°

Step-by-step explanation:

a=90°

a:b=5:3

5+3= 8

5/8 x A = 90

A is the sum of the angles of a and b divided in the ratio 5:3

5A/8 = 90

cross multiply

5A= 90 X8 = 720

5A=720

A= 720/5= 144°

b= 3/8 x 144 = 3x144/8 = 432/8 = 54

a= 90

b= 54

x:y is in the ratio of 1:3

the Sum of angles in a Quadrilateral is 360°

if the sum of a and b is 144°

then the reamining angles is 360-144= 216°

then x:y=1:3

1+3=4

x= 1/4 x 216= 54°

y= 3/4 x 216= 162°

Therefore a= 90°,b=54°, x=54°, y= 162°

we can see that b = x = 54°
