Food supplements may consist of vitamins or minerals, different types of herbs or vegetable extracts, amino acids, fatty acids or fibres in forms of tablets, pills, capsules or liquids in measured doses.  There </span><span>are three categories of claims that are defined by statute and/or FDA regulations: health claims, nutrient content claims, and structure/function claims.</span>
