Is George friendship with Lennie a true friendship? Explain. (Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck)
Olenka [21]
This is an opinion question and the answer depends on your definition of friendship. Their friendship is unusual but it is a close relationship nevertheless. Both characters sacrifice for one another. For example, George stays with Lennie due to the promise he's made to Lennie's aunt, and because he also subconsciously feels a need for Lennie's optimism. Lennie is willing to do whatever pleases George. George had a high amount of respect and love for Lennie, and it is why he chooses to kill him himself. As a friend, George does not want Lennie to die by the hands of Curly and he certainly doesn't want Lennie to be arrested.

Help me plz ill give u a 5 star rating if its correct
Elenna [48]

Answer: C

Explanation:

C is the only thing that would make the audience want to read the book WHILE TALKING ABOUT THE CHARACTER. It would make the character seem fun, and that would help people become more interested in the book.

Remember, the prompt says we have to talk about the CHARACTER, not just the book. This is why A would be incorrect.

Can someone write me a short essay about how the Justice system is corrupt?
inessss [21]

Answer:

Corruption in the legal system violates the fundamental principle of equality before the law and deprives people of their right to a fair trial. Money and influence may decide which cases are prioritized or dismissed in a corrupt judicial system. Perpetrators may go unpunished, leaving victims with no answers and no justice.

Simple reforms can help to avoid this. An independent body and public oversight can ensure that judicial appointments are made on merit rather than favoritism. To make judicial personnel less vulnerable to bribery, they should be adequately trained and receive fair salaries and pensions. Judges' personal liability for decisions should be limited, and only credible and transparent investigations should be conducted against them to protect them from pressure from powerful interests.
