To make relevant contributions to a group discussion you want to first make sure you have done the work you need to do to be prepared and know the required knowledge about the subject. Next, if you are having trouble coming up with an idea then bounce ideas off of other students until you get the ball rolling. Lastly don't be afraid to speak your mind about the subject as long as it's school appropriate.
