To contain Soviet expansion.

Further Explanation:

The major purpose of the Truman doctrine was to control the expansion of the Soviet Union during the Cold War. It was America’s foreign policy announced by President Harry S. Truman on 12 March 1947. This doctrine was further enhanced on 4 July 1948, to counter threats in Greece. They did not directly used military forces but gave financial aid to the support of militaries of both the countries Greece and Turkey. Soviet communism was threatened by American support.

The doctrine led to the formation of NATO in 1949. Truman argued that if both the countries did not receive the financial aid they will fall into communism because these two countries are historic rivals. It is very necessary to help both of them equally. One of the historians  Eric Foner writes that the Truman doctrine set the precedent for  America's assistant to the anti-Communist regimes in the world.

It was the basis of America's Cold War policy for Europe and the world. It was the containment policy of Soviet expansion. It focused on bearing the Soviet expansion in Eastern Europe.

This group of explorers were seeking "gold, god and glory?
nekit [7.7K]
Historians use a standard shorthand, “Gold, God, and Glory,” to describe the motives generating the overseas exploration, expansion, and conquests that allowed various European countries to rise to world power between 1400 and 1750. “Gold” refers to the search for material gain through acquiring and selling Asian spices, African slaves, American metals, and other resources. As merchants gained influence in late-medieval western Europe, they convinced their governments to establish a direct connection to the lucrative Asian trade, leading to the first European voyages of discovery in the 1400s. “God” refers to the militant crusading and missionary traditions of Christianity, characterized in part by rivalry with Islam and hatred of non-Christian religions. “Glory” alludes to the competition between monarchies. Some kings sought to establish their claims to newly contacted territories so as to strengthen their position in European politics and increase their power at the expense of the landowning nobility. They also embraced the ideology of mercantilism, which held that governments and large private companies should cooperate to increase the state’s wealth by increasing the reserves of precious metals. Motivated by these three aims, several western European peoples gained control or influence over widening segments of the globe during the Early Modern Era. By 1914 Europeans dominated much of the world politically and economically. Hope this helps!

Liam is reading a book about prehistoric animals for a class presentation. He reads about a reptile called brachiosaurus.
Phoenix [80]

The text feature that most likely would help Liam is "pronunciation guide". However, since he is looking for the name of a dinosaur, Liam should take into account that he needs a pronunciation guide of the Latin language. Scientific names are given by Latin roots, so the name of a species is pronounced in Latin.
