Answer: A. Perspective means a mental view. From her perspective, you are at fault.

The word root "spect" means to "see." This root is the basis for many English words that are related to vision, such as spectacle, spectator and inspect. In this case, "perspective" is a word that derives from this root and that refers to the mental view of a particular person.

Today, there is approximately 2,200 blue whales in the eastern North
Naya [18.7K]

The problem with this sentence is that there is no subject-verb agreement.

What is subject-verb agreement?

The subject-verb agreement implies the verb should agree with the subject on the number (singular vs plural). Here are some examples.

 • The girls are brave (both the subject and theverb are plural).
 • The girl is brave (both the subject and the verb are singular).

What is the problem in the sentence presented?

The sentence about whales does not show the subject-verb agreement. This is because in the section there is approximately 2,200 blue whales the author is using a singular verb is to refer to a plural subject 2,200 blue whales.

Note: This question is incomplete; here is the complete question:

What's wrong with this sentence: "Today there is approximately 2,200 blue whales in the eastern North Pacific and research indicates that the population hasn't changed significantly since 1993"

If any of you read the book lyddie for school could you help me by giving some reasons why she should not sign the petition
nata0808 [166]

Lyddie doesn't sign the petition, because she is afraid of the consequences of that action. By signing the petition, she would publicly be associating with it and those workers. She runs the risk of being fired from her current job and blacklisted from the other mills. Lyddie cannot let that happen. She desperately needs the paycheck in order to pay back the debt that her family owes.
