An object at rest on a flat, horizontal surface explodes into two fragments, one seven times as massive as the other. The heavie
leva [86]

To solve the problem it is necessary to apply conservation of the moment and conservation of energy.

By conservation of the moment we know that

MV=mv

Where

M=Heavier mass

V = Velocity of heavier mass

m = lighter mass

v = velocity of lighter mass

That equation in function of the velocity of heavier mass is

V = \frac{mv}{M}

Also we have that m/M = 1/7 times

On the other hand we have from law of conservation of energy that

W_f = KE

Where,

W_f = Work made by friction

KE = Kinetic Force

Applying this equation in heavier object.

F_f*S = \frac{1}{2}MV^2

\mu M*g*S = \frac{1}{2}MV^2

\mu g*S = \frac{1}{2}( \frac{mv}{M})^2

\mu = \frac{1}{2} (\frac{1}{7}v)^2

\mu = \frac{1}{98}v^2

\mu = \frac{1}{g(98)(5.1)}v^2

Here we can apply the law of conservation of energy for light mass, then

\mu mgs = \frac{1}{2} mv^2

Replacing the value of \mu

\frac{1}{g(98)(5.1)}v^2  mgs = \frac{1}{2}mv^2

Deleting constants,

s= \frac{(98*5.1)}{2}

s = 249.9m

A 350-watt vacuum is plugged into a 120-volt outlet and used for 30 seconds. How much current runs through the vacuum? 2.9 amps
myrzilka [38]

                                           Power  =  (voltage)  x  (current)

                                      350 watts  =  (120 volts) x (current)

                                      350 watts / 120 volts = current

                                            current  =  2.917 Amperes  continuously

A uniform electric field exists everywhere in the x, y plane. This electric field has a magnitude of 4500 N/C and is directed in
Anton [14]

Answer with Explanation:

We are given that

E=4500 N/C

q=-5.5\times 10^{-9} C

a.x=-0.2 m

E'=\frac{Kq}{r^2}=\frac{9\times 10^9\times 5.5\times 10^{-9}}{(0.2)^2}=1237.5 N

Where k=9\times 10^9

Net electric field=E+E'=4500+1237.5=5737.5 N/C

b.x=0.20 m

Net electric field=E-E'=4500-1237.5=3262.5 N/C

c.y=0.20 m

E=1237.5 N/C

Net electric field=\sqrt{E^2+E'^2}=\sqrt{(4500)^2+(1237.5)^2}=4667.05 N/C

Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

C)focusing on one goal at a time

Explanation:

Self-modification programs could be regarded as a program that help individual in managing unwanted as well as dysfunctional behavioral responses whenever they are going through a problem and try to deal with it. For instance the dysfunctional behavioral response for someone with a panic attack is avoidance. Some of the the steps that are involved in in a self-modification program are;

✓ specifying target behavior ✓designing a program

✓ gathering data about target behavior
