Radio broadcast of a baseball game was able to collapse space and time. In other words, you no longer had to be at the game, to experience the game. People would gather at their homes or offices or on the street to listen to it. Also, fans had more than an outline of the action the played out visually allowing better understanding and wider appreciation for the sport.

Georgia was initially founded as a haven for
Sonbull [250]

D. English debtors.

Georgia was established as refuge for debtors as well as a buffer between the plantation colonies and Spanish Florida. It was also established as a non-slave colony.

Overflowing prisons in England caused a concern. James Oglethorpe provided a solution by requesting a colony for debtors to work off their debt through servitude toward the colony. No slaves were allowed in the colony as the debtors were the labor.

Compare and contrast how the language of freedom and security was used during the Cold War and the period after September 11, 20
Ksju [112]

Answer:

The terrorist attacks on Sept. 11 , 2001 seized the country's collective consciousness and provided government legislators with the perfect storm to push through comprehensive federal legislation known as the United and Strengthening America by providing appropriate tools required to intercept and obstruct terrorism.

Several provisions of the Patriot Act impact First Amendment freedoms in a fundamental way.  One provision – so-called Section 215 – allowed government officials the ability to read business records, library records, health-care records, logs of Internet service providers and other documents and papers without the traditional protections that individuals have.

Harriet tubman: was a mythical character about whom runaway slaves told many stories. led a slave rebellion in maryland in 1849
adoni [48]
The correct answer is "Was a fugitive slave who risked her life many times to bring others out of slavery."

Harriet Tubman was one of the individuals responsible for the escape of thousands of slaves through the Underground Railroad. This chain of secret houses where slaves could travel to was spearheaded by Tubman. House by house, these individuals led by Tubman would travel North until they reached a free territory or state. Tubman's bravery is well recorded in American history and makes her one of the most famous individuals of the Antebellum period.
