HELP!!

What are the steps from gene to protein? Label and describe each step.
Alika [10]

DNA makes up genes. Transcription: The info stored in the gene's DNA is transcribed to RNA in the cell nucleus. The type of RNA that contains the info for making a protein is called messenger RNA, also known as mRNA. It carries out the information from the DNA, out of the nucleus, and into the cytoplasm. Translation: This happens in the cytoplasm. It is where the mRNA interacts with the ribosome, which "reads" the sequence of mRNA bases. Three bases make a codon, which usually codes for one particular amino acid, which is building blocks of proteins. Then, another type of RNA called transfer RNA, aka tRNA, assembles the protein by folding. This continues until the ribosome reaches a stop codon.

What was Marshall Nirenberg and Heinrich Matthaei’s contribution to our current understanding of the genetic code?
Dvinal [7]
The correct option is this: THE DISCOVERY OF CODONS.
Codons refers to a sequence of three DNA or RNA nucleotides which corresponds to a particular amino acid or a stop signal during protein synthesis. Thus, the genetic codon is used to translate the information that are encoded within genetic materials into proteins. The genetic codons was discovered by Marshall Nirenberg and Heinrich Matthaeis, who deciphered the entire genetic codes by matching amino acids to synthetic triplet nucleotides.

A certain biological molecule has the ability to absorb hydrogen ions. predict and justify what will happen to the ph if this mo
Maslowich

Chemical buffers in the body are substances that can absorb extra hydrogen ions preventing a change in pH. for example, during exercise muscle cells can produce excess carboxylic acid, which increases hydrogen ions

Owing to strong covalent intermolecular bonds, the H 2 molecule is chemically rather inert and exerts only weak van der Waals type interactions with a solid surface. Therefore, molecules are commonly accepted to be adsorbed physically. Nevertheless, the chemical interaction of the hydrogen molecule with the surface atoms is additionally considered.

What are chemical buffers?

A buffer is a solution that has a highly stable pH. If you add an acid or a base to a buffered solution, its pH won't change significantly.
