2) Taking a closer look,  to f(x)=-x+6 we can see that the root is between x=5 and x=7, we already know is -6.

Let's try x=7

Call it x_{1}

Plugging into the formula:

X_{n+1}= x_{n}-\frac{f(x)}{f'(x)} \\x_{2}=7-\frac{-x+6}{-1}\\ x_{2}=7-\frac{-7+6}{-1}\\x_{2}=6\\

x_{3}=6-\frac{-6+6}{-1}\Rightarrow x_{3}= 6

In this function, the root is an integer, all the approximations were integer numbers and  larger than 0.001.

On the other hand, if the function had irrational roots then we could easily show results lesser than 0.001.

To answer the question we start by placing two ordered pairs that satisfy the equation y = 2x

To do this we enter a value of "x" and then find "y"

Let's start with x = 2

y = 2 (2)

y = 4

Then the first ordered pair that satisfies the equation is dot (2,4)

Now, for x = 0

y = 2(0)

y = 0

Then the second ordered pair that satisfies the equation is the point (0,0).

With these two pairs we draw the graph of the equation, which is shown in the attached image.

When you are dividing fractions you just flip the second fraction upside down and multiply the two fractions
So the first is
½ x 6/1 = 6/2 = 3

For the second you write them as improper fractions then do the same
So it is
3/2 / 1/8 = 3/2 x 8/1 = 24/2 = 12

So the answer to the first question is 3 and the second is 12
