Given:

m∠R = 90°

m∠Q = 6°

PQ = 2.2 ft

RP = x

To find:

The length of RP.

Solution:

Using basic trigonometric formula:

$\sin \theta =\frac{\text{Opposite of} \ \theta}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

$\sin 6^\circ =\frac{x}{2.2}

$0.1=\frac{x}{2.2}

Multiply by 2.2 on both sides.

$0.1\times2.2=\frac{x}{2.2}\times2.2

$0.22=x

$0.2=x (nearest tenth)

The length of RP is 0.2 feet.

.At a certain animal shelter, the ratio of puppies to adult dogs is 7 to 4. This week there are a total of55 dogs in the shelter
Advocard [28]

Answer:

There are 35 adult dogs and 20 puppies

<em></em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Represent the puppies with P and the Adult dogs with A</em>

Given

A : P = 7 : 4

Dogs = 55

Required

Determine A and P

First, we need to sum the ratios;

Total = A + P

Total = 7 + 4

Total = 11

Adult Dogs is then calculated as follows;

A = \frac{A\ Ratio}{Total} * Dogs

A = \frac{7}{11} * 55

A = \frac{385}{11}

A = 35

Puppies is calculated by subtracting the number of adult dogs from the total

P = Dogs - Adult\ Dogs

P = 55 - 35

P = 20

<em>Hence;</em>

<em>There are 35 adult dogs and 20 puppies</em>

What is the value of x and the measure of MNQ
serg [7]

Answer:

3x - 13 +58 = 90, so 3x +45 = 90

Then 3x = 90 - 45 = 45 and x= 45/3 = 15.

m∠MNQ = 3x-13 = 3(15) - 13

                             =  45-13

                             =   32

PLEASE HELP 25PT
Bess [88]
Hi

1.If Mrs.Walters drives 360 miles on 25 gallons of gas , she drives 14.4 miles on 1 gallon of gas .

Work; I made a proportion , but you can just divide 360 and 25 .
 x=14.4 miles

If Mr.Walters drives 480 miles on 32 gallons of gas , he drives 15.06 miles on 1 gallon of gas .
 x=15.06 miles
2. Mr.Walter because he drives more miles with a gallon .
Work; 15.06 miles is greater than 14.4 miles.

Hope it helps and have a wonderful day.

May I please get a step by Step for this
natulia [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

h=16t^2+98=?

subtract 98 from both sides to get

h-98=16t^2

(the 98 on the right cancels)

now divide by 16 on both sides

h-98/16=t^2

(the 16 on the right cancels)

lastly take the square root on both sides

square root(h-98/16)= t

if you know what h is fill it in and it will give you your answer

Im not 100% sure!!
