Although this question is quite old, the correct answer here would be

C. The U.S Naval ship, the Maine, exploded in the Havana harbor

I took the test and this was the correct answer I don't have anymore information to give besides that.

<span>The correct answer is A. The US Annexed the Phillippines. They didn't annex it but they did get their support and the Phillippines started working with the United States but there were quarrels and they even had a war at one point. Also, at one point in time, the US did have control over the Phillippines, but it wasn't after the War.</span>
