The populations in Russia and Europe have certain similarities and certain differences when it comes to the distribution.

Similarities are that in both Europe and Russia the most densely populated parts are in the west. Most of the population in Russia is located in its westernmost part. Similar in Europe, most of the population is located in the western part of the continent, either along the coasts or along the major rivers.

We can also see that the climate is a very important factor in the population distribution, with the ares that have extreme temperatures being the least populated. In Russia that is Siberia as well as its northwestern part, while in Erupe it is Scandinavia and Finland.
