Set up an equation. Since the ratio is 3:4 male:female, it would be 3m=4f. Since you know that 3m=18, solve for m and plug it into the 3m=4f equation to get the number of females! Don't forget that the number of females is 4f not just f!

Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

We are given :

The cost of one adult ticket = a.

The cost of one child ticket = c.

<u>Roy buys</u>

6 adult tickets and 2 child tickets.

Total amount = $66.

Therefore, first equation for Roy total amount would be

<em>6a +2c = 66          --------------------(1)</em>

<u>Elisa buys</u>

5 adult tickets and 4 child tickets.

Total amount = $62.

Therefore, second equation for Elisa total amount would be

<em>5a +4c = 62          --------------------(1).</em>

Therefore,

<h3>Roy <u>6</u>a + <u>2</u>c = <u>66</u></h3><h3>Elisa <u>5</u>a + <u>4</u>c = <u>62.</u></h3>

Which of the following is equal to the fraction below?
Vesna [10]

In mathematics there is a rule of exponents where we can "distribute" the powers/exponents in the numerator and denominator of any expression. Therefore, given an expression as (\frac{a}{b})^n, the exponent n can be "distributed" as: (\frac{a}{b})^n= \frac{a^n}{b^n}.

In our case, the power, n=11; a=7 and b=4. Thus, the expression (\frac{7}{4})^{11}, can be written as \frac{7^{11}}{4^{11}}.

Thus, out of the given options, option A is the correct option.
