A weakness of the Articles of Confederation was that Congress could not establish a common currency.

Further Explanations:

The demand of a Federal government emerged in America during 1787 and to fulfill it an agreement was drafted ratified by all the 13 foremost federations of the nation. It was accepted as their principal constitution and the articles that framed it was collectively named as the Article of Confederation. It was enforced on 1st March 1881 after being amended by the participant states.

Framers of the constitution wanted to ensure that a strong central government was being established as they were having under British control. That’s why the central government was not framed with much authority. The most significant clause that the central administration lacking was its control over the states. It was not having the authority to compel the state government to implement law framed by it. It proved a significant issue in cases of interstate trade. It was also creating difficulties in establishing a shared currency in the nation.

One of the weaknesses of the articles of confederation was that congress could not establish a common currency.

The articles of confederation are the first constitution of the United States. The articles of the confederation were drafted during the period when the citizens of the United State were so afraid of a strong central government.

Further Explanation

The articles of the confederation were designed to unite the country, that is, to unify the states so that they can be able to resist future attacks and also to build a stronger economy that works for the American people.

However, the articles of confederation only created a continental congress at the national level. The executive and the judicial were not in existence at the federal level but existed between the states during the period

There were numerous weaknesses under the articles of the federation; the continental congress was not given the required power to carry out its responsibilities and this affected the activities of the federal government.

The articles of confederation accorded the power to create laws to congress but it lacks the power to enforce the law. The continental congress lacks the power to control trade or to levy taxes.

Also, Congress could not establish a common currency

dem82 [27]
he Renaissance was an era when educated people became very enthusiastic about the classical era, i.e. Greek and Roman times. They thought that classical styles in art, literature, architecture etc should be copied. So for instance the exquisite Gothic architecture of the medieval period was despised as barbaric, and replaced by the heavy neo-classical style of building of the early modern period. It was also an era when the political power of individuals increased greatly. Kings and princes of indviducal states became immensely more powerful than they had been in medieval times. For instance king Henry VIII of england had more aboslute power than any previous english monarch.I hope this helped you!
