The Declaration of Independence was different from previous documents prepared by colonists because it: A.)committed the colonies to being independent.

Previous documents prepared by the colonists were always made with the assumption that British empire would oversee them and made intervention in case they believe the colonists would do something that harm them. The declaration of independence was the first one that provide the colonies with their own autonomy.

<u>The declaration of Independence of United States was adopted by second continental Congress meeting which took place in Pennsylvania state house which is now known as Independence Hall. </u>It is explained in this deceleration that why the thirteen colonies who were at war with the Britain called themselves as,’Thirteen Independent States’ which are no longer under British rule. The issue between these 13 Colonies and Britain started in 1763. Britain wanted measures to increase its revenue from tax collection and for that it imposed many tax collecting acts such as,’The Stamp Act’ and ‘Townshend Act’ because the British thought that these colonies must give their shares to them in order to keep them in British Empire. But the colonists defended by saying that the British parliament was having no rights to impose tax on them. <u>This issue led to these 13 colonists revolt against British and With this declaration coming into force, This thirteen states came together as a country which we now know as United States.</u> Representatives from New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and South Carolina signed this declaration.
