Jason's error was that he multiplied by 2 instead of dividing. It should be m=2.

Jason multiplied 2 and 4 that is where he go 8 but you just have to get the variable by itself so you would have to isolate the variable so divide 2÷2=m then divide 4÷2=2 so m=2

Daisy spent a total of $31 before tax on ice cream. the table below shows the different flavors she bought. a carton of strawber
notsponge [240]
The cost of 1 vanilla ice cream and 1 strawberry ice cream should total to $31. Since you only bought one of each flavor, you simply have to add their unit prices.

Cost for 1 carton of strawberry ice cream + Cost for 1 carton of vanilla ice cream = Total Cost
Total Cost = s + v  --> this is the general equation

Since s = 1.5 + v, the modified equation would be
Total Cost = 1.5 + v + v
Total Cost = 1.5 + 2v

After being rearranged and simplified, which of the following equations could be solved using the quadratic formula?
dmitriy555 [2]
A. 2x^2 - 3x + 10 = 2x + 21
2x^2 - 3x - 2x + 10 - 21 = 0
2x^2 - 5x - 11 = 0                              (quadratic equation)

2x^2 - 6x - 7 = 2x^2
2x^2 - 2x^2 - 6x - 7 = 0
-6x - 7 = 0                                          (not a quadratic equation)

5x^2 + 2x - 4 = 2x^2
5x^2 - 2x^2 + 2x - 4 = 0
3x^2 + 2x - 4                                      (quadratic equation)

5x^3 - 3x + 10 = 2x^2
5x^3 - 2x^2 - 3x + 10 = 0                    (not a quadratic equation)

Therefore, options a and c can be solved using the quadratic formula.
