<span>The mid-point or the number that divides a series of values into two groups of equal numbers of values is referred to as the median. To get the median value, first sort the numbers from highest to lowest or lowest to highest and then pick the middle number. However, for even numbered sets of numbers, take the average of the two middle numbers and the resulting number is the median. </span>

Find the area of a rectangle that measures 3 feet by4 inches give the area. In square inches
frutty [35]

Answer:

Area of the rectangle = 144 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a rectangle = length × width

Width = 4 inches

Length = 3 feet

1 feet = 12 inches

3 feet = 36 inches

Area of a rectangle = length × width

= 36 inches × 4 inches

= 144 square inches

Therefore,

Area of the rectangle = 144 square inches

I would really appreciate help with the following, along with work shown so I can understand how these were solved.
Alja [10]

First, you have to know the double angle formula:

sin 2A  =  2 sin A cos A

cos 2A  =  cos² A − sin² A  =  2 cos² A − 1  =  1 − 2 sin² A

tan 2A<span> = 2 tan </span>A<span> / (1 − tan² </span>A)

Next, find the other leg: 17^2-15^=64, √64 is 8, so the unknown leg length is 8.

sinα=15/17, cosα=8/17, tanα=15/8

sinβ=8/17, cosβ15/17, tanβ=8/15

Plug these values in the above formula, you'll have your answers.

For the half angles, know the half-angle formula:

sin(B/2) = ± √<span>(1 − cos B)/2</span>

cos(B/2) = ± √<span>(1 + cos B)/2</span>

tan(B/2)  =  (1 − cos B) / sin B<span>  =  sin </span>B<span> / (1 + cos </span>B)

refer to this website for details:

<span>https://brownmath.com/twt/double.htm
</span>

For the power reduction formula, please search for it. I tried to copy and paste here, but it wouldn't paste.

for number 4, factor the quadratic equation into (cscx-8)(cscx+1)=0

cscx=8 or cscx=-1

You may not have the csc button on your calculator. Recall that csc is 1/sin, so sinx=1/8 or sinx=-1, so x is either 7.18 or 270 degrees

U xy, for u = 2, x = 9, and y = 6
Yuki888 [10]
First thing you gotta do is to sub in the numbers into the equation/expression
<span>uxy = (2)(9)(6)
</span>      = 108

* brackets means multiplying

Final answer is 108

The ordered pairs (1, 3), (2, 9), (3, 27), and (4, 81) represent a function. Write a rule that represents this function.
Art [367]
Let x be the first number each pair and y is the second of each As you see 1x is 3y
And. 2x is 3*3y= 9y
3x = 3*3*3y= 27y

Last 4x =3*3*3*3y= 81y

So y = 3^x

4/x - 3/y = 1 ; 6/x + 15/y = 8 solve this equation
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

x=2

y=3

Solution:

First we find common denominators. It is "xy". Then we multiply numerators by common denominator. We get followings:

(4y-3x)/xy=1; (6y+15x)/xy=8

Then

4y-3x=xy;

6y+15=8xy

Multiply first equasion by 5

20y-15x=5xy

Now we add two equasions to get one

20y-15x=5xy

6y+15x=8xy

We get

26y=13xy

Cut "y" and we will find "x"

26=13x

x=2

Put x value into the first equasion(4y-3x=xy) to find out "y"

4y-6=2y

2y=6

y=3
